You’re Allowed to Pause: A Pick Me Up Tuesday Reminder

💛 You’re Allowed to Pause

Pick Me Up Tuesday: Gentle Words for a Heavy Day

Let’s be real—some days feel heavier than others. You’re doing your best, but your best might look different today. That’s okay.

This Pick Me Up Tuesday, we want to remind you:

You are allowed to pause.
You are allowed to feel tired.
You are allowed to take up space, even when you’re not “productive.”

You Don’t Have to Carry It All Alone

At Animal Assisted Counseling of Indiana, we see so many people trying to carry everything by themselves—especially when they think others “have it harder” or “need more support.”

But pain isn’t a competition. Stress doesn’t need to be justified.
Your feelings matter because you matter.

And sometimes, a therapy dog like Sadie offers the kind of silent, unconditional presence that reminds you—you’re safe to just be.

Even Small Steps Count

Maybe your step today is:

  • Drinking water before your coffee

  • Saying no to something that drains you

  • Taking a five-minute walk outside

  • Letting yourself cry without apology

  • Scheduling your first therapy appointment.

“If you’re not sure how to start caring for your mental health, this guide from NIMH can help.”

Whatever your step is, it’s enough.

Healing doesn’t require perfection. It requires showing up. And if you need a paw to hold while you do that, we’re here for you.

A Gentle Nudge

You’re doing better than you think. Truly.
Even if today just looks like deep breaths, pajamas, and one brave “yes” to support.

📩 Reach out if you’re ready to talk.
We’ll be here—with kindness, compassion, and a therapy dog who doesn’t judge your messy bun or your silence.
