Anxiety And Depression Are Not Medical Conditions.

Medications for anxiety and depression cannot address the root causes that lead to emotional and physical distress. Because it does not have the ability to provide an understanding to navigate through the pain medication cannot make it go away.  Taking medication decreases the symptoms associated with anxiety and depression by masking the pain and can add the risk of serious emotional and physcial side effects, sometimes even leading to suicide.

Research has shown that Client Centered Animal Assisted Therapy (CCAAT) is an effective way to reduce, control and overcome anxiety and depression.  In order to overcome depression and anxiety you need to treat the patient not the symptoms.  Collaborative patient relationship is key.  As a mental health practitioner I can tell you that your internal cognitive, emotional and spiritual processes cannot be changed through medication.  Self-exploration, discovery and personal change is what is needed.

If you have experienced psychological suffering you are at increased risk of developing stroke, cancer, heart disease, diabetes, gastro-intestinal disease and other deadly medical conditions.

Client Centered Animal Assisted Therapy reduces the physical risks associated with psychological injury while rewriting your DNA that was affected during exposure to your life’s mental/emotional/spiritual affliction.

Living with depression and anxiety can be “debilitating” . . . but it doesn’t have to be that way.

It is tiring when you are struggling to figure out how to change, but you are still not getting any better. The worst part of suffering with depression and anxiety is the loneliness you experience.  You think no-one understands.  You can’t talk to your friends or family, they either try to fix it or tell you to “it will be ok”.  You must mask and maintain a happy outside for others without them knowing the despair you feel inside.

Most medical practitioners will say it is a hormone imbalance. But, individuals take medication and still find themselves feeling anxious, sad, overwhelmed and lonely with no relief in sight.

If you are suffering with anxiety and depression and can’t seem to feel better Client Centered Animal Assisted Therapy can help you explore some of those hidden places where triggers can lurk. Client Centered Animal Assisted Therapy can help you stop that downward spiral from getting worse.
